Women’s Prize LIVE

June 11, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm

£65.00 – £95.00

Sparkling conversations, the very best names in women’s writing and an exquisite London location . . . could there be a better way for a book lover to spend a summer’s afternoon?

Join the Women’s Prize Trust in Bedford Square Gardens this June for Women’s Prize LIVE 2025. We’ll be hosting a day of lively in-conversation events with your favourite authors, introducing dazzling new talent, and offering a selection of inspiring workshops and 1-21-s from writers and industry insiders. As evening falls, listen to exclusive readings of the 12 books shortlisted for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction and Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction.

Women’s Prize LIVE 2025 is set to be an exciting year as we celebrate 30 years of the Women’s Prize for Fiction. We’ll be joined by a host of great writers, journalists and speakers, including: Laura Bates, Emma Gannon, Tayari Jones, Priscilla Morris, Kate Mosse, Kavita Puri, June Sarpong, Rose Tremain and Kit de Waal – view our full programme here.

Plus, to mark this special year we’ve partnered with Jikoni to provide you with delicious picnic hampers that you can enjoy as you relax in between events. Hampers range from £35-48; a limited number will be available to purchase in the gardens as well as your pre-orders to collect.

Tickets are £95 for General Admission and £75 for Concessions. Please see the FAQ on our website for eligibility details. We’re conscious of the current cost of living crisis, so we’ve kept our price the same for the third year running.

Please consider adding a donation to your ticket. This will help us, the Women’s Prize Trust, to continue our important work enriching society by creating equitable opportunities for women in the world of books and beyond. The Women’s Prize Trust is a registered charity (1181253).

20 free places are available for this event for women on low-income, whose financial situation prohibits them from attending the event, resident in England or Wales, prioritising those from marginalised backgrounds (writers of colour, disabled writers, LGBTQ+ writers and other under-represented groups).

To apply, please email info@womensprize.com with the subject line: ‘WP LIVE subsidised place’, with a little bit about yourself, why you are interested, how you think you will benefit from the session, and attaching any relevant paperwork you have. The deadline for applications is Monday 5 May. We will reply to you the week commencing 12 May.

If you are not sure what ‘low-income’ means, the Citizens Advice Bureau has some useful guidelines here, and there are some helpful calculations here to show how these margins are measured by the Government across the country. If you are a full-time student or pensioner, or in receipt of any kind of Universal Credit, you are eligible to apply. You may also submit HMRC self-assessment paperwork to show you are low-earning if you are self-employed and not in receipt of income support.
